Our Story in Brief
Ruby Imports is a Black woman-owned small business founded by Lisa and Alexis Richmond, a mother-daughter team with a shared love for wine, travel, and Turkey. After years of visiting vineyards, earning WSET certifications, and falling in love with the wines of Turkey, they launched America's first specialist Turkish wine import company.
As Black women in the wine industry, Lisa and Alexis are part of a small but growing community of minority entrepreneurs transforming how Americans discover wine. Less than 1% of U.S. wine businesses are Black owned. Ruby Imports exists to change that number while sharing Turkey's extraordinary, untold wine story with the world.
